Request for Dismissal of Order of Protection

On June 21, I went to court to request that the Order of Protection against Neil Zucconi be dismissed.  I did this as part of our settlement agreement.  In return, I had a stipulated addendum attached to our Consent Decree of Dissolution of Marriage (divorce decree) that is a fully enforceable order of the court that clearly states that Neil Zucconi shall have no contact whatsoever with me and any member of my family including my three children.  With this court order, I have absolute assurances that he will not contact me ever in the future for any reason whatsoever, and all contact, if such contact is required, will be only through legal counsel.  He is also unable to enter the State of Arizona for the next year.

This is all public information since our divorce decree is filed with the Superior Court of Arizona and open to the public.  There is a link to the Maricopa County Superior Court in my list of helpful links (right column of my blog) where you can access our divorce decree for additional information.

On a side note......
Thankfully, the process of divorcing Neil Zucconi went relatively quickly, due mostly to the horrendous circumstances that I faced while married to him.  (Having to file an Order of Protection against him in conjunction with the divorce was unbelievably stressful, and such a chaotic time!)  My divorce attorney went above and beyond to help me end the marriage as quickly as possible, and considering that I filed for divorce on February 9, 2010, and that it was signed off by the judge on April 23, 2010, (yes, I threw a big party that day!!), I'd say it was quite fast for the State of Arizona even with its current 60-day waiting period.  The judge wasted no time signing and finalizing the divorce since she was aware of the chaos that I was dealing with.  I'm very grateful to my amazing divorce attorney and to the judge for helping me break away from this man so swiftly.  I can't even begin to express what a relief it was to break free.
